Our Story
1999
Established in 1999 by Pharmacist
Bart Vergauwe
​
Bart Vergauwe graduated as a pharmacist at Ghent University. Together with his wife, who was a pharmacist too, started their own pharmacy in Oostkamp, Belgium. His fascination for the interesting possibilities of food supplements led him to create his own manufacturing company called Labo Phytophar in 1999. Labo Phytophar quickly developed into a well known supplier of food supplements in various forms and packages to supply colleague pharmacists and pharma distributors.

Phytophar expands the production
In 2017, the mamagement decides to expand into liquid manufacturing and takes over Pharma Consulting & Industries in Eede, specialized in the production of phytonutrients in liquid form.

Warehouse modernization and expansion works
Given the steady year-on-year growth, Phytophar invest heavily in the expansion of its own manufacturing capacity to follow the increasing demand of full service products. The manufacturing surface was doubled and got equipped with state-of-the-art machinery to deliver innovative or difficult to manufacture products.
2022
From 1999 to today, Phytophar has established itself on the market as one of the most revolutionary and modern company in Belgium. Thanks to a high quality R&D department, our advanced technologies and our high control systems, Phytophar has been guaranteeing absolute reliability to its customers for years.
